The woman who lives in Maplewood, Minn. is suspected of doing the same thing at two other schools in Washington County, Minn. According to the Hudson Police Department, they received the theft reports from the schools on Monday following the conferences and began their investigation.

They checked surveillance tapes at the schools, specifically those around the classrooms where the thefts occurred and identified an unknown woman going into those rooms.

According to Chief Marty Jensen, they also got information that some of the credits cards reported stolen had been used at three locations in Hudson, Family Fresh, Walmart and Quik Trip.

Working with the Washington County Sheriff's Department and surveillance tape they had of the suspect in their thefts, Hudson police believe the same woman is responsible for the thefts here.

A Hudson police officer accompanied Washington County Sheriff's Dept. investigators Tuesday when they conducted a search of the woman's home. Police say some stolen property was recovered. The woman was not home at the time but police are looking for her.

Jensen said that the woman obviously took advantage of the schools being open for conferences with a large number of adults going in and out without identification to steal the property. He said Hudson schools all have security measures in place during the school day when students are present that are aimed at keeping anyone from getting into the schools without being identified first.
