Operation HELP

The annual Christmas campaign coordinated by Operation HELP is looking for additional sponsors for the 2009 holiday event. Sponsors provide gifts and clothing items for families with children in the Hudson School District who would otherwise not have a Christmas experience. Other opportunities to help include providing household and personal hygiene products and donations for food for a holiday meal. Anyone interested in being a sponsor, making a donation or volunteering in the campaign, can contact Jennifer at and send your full name, address and a phone number at which you can be contacted. Families who wish to be sponsored should also send the same information. If you cannot access email, call (715)377-9990 and leave a message.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army has already begun its kettle campaign in Hudson, but the organization is in need of more bell ringers if they are to raise their goal of $100,000 for those in need in St. Croix County. The campaign will run this weekend and daily after Thanksgiving at five locations in Hudson, County Market, Family Fresh, Wal-Mart, Fleet Farm and Papa Murphy's. More than 85 percent of the money donated in St. Croix County stays in the county to serve residents in need of emergency assistance for rent, utilities and other expenses. To make a donation or to volunteer for a shift of two hours or more, call the Salvation Army at (715) 247-2944.
