Sheriff warns residents about burglaries
Burglaries to rural residential areas are starting to crop up in the Hudson area and St. Croix County Sheriff John Shilts warns residents to be on the lookout for anything suspicious in their neighborhoods.
"We've been called out on a couple burglaries in the town of Troy and Monday in the town of Hudson," Shilts said. "They have been forced entry burglaries."
Electronics and cash have been taken in the town of Hudson incident. Deputies were called to the residence on Grange Road at 4:30 p.m. when a woman noticed garage doors open and a TV from the house in one garage, the sheriff said.
Shilts said it's always good practice to lock cars in the driveway and close garage doors. Also ask neighbors to be aware of anything suspicious in the area.
