Summer

--Adult softball leagues

May through August

Participants ages 16 and up, men, women, coed and senior divisions; play six nights a week the Grandview Park ball fields, County UU and Carmichael Road.

--Soccer

Hudson Soccer Association with complex, County UU; 12 fields for both older and younger players and tournament play.

--Youth baseball and softball

Hudson Booster Club play ranges from T-ball on up, more than 80 teams and 1,000 participants.

--Biking

--Football

Hudson Booster Club fall football program for fifth- and sixth-grade boys.

--Sno-tubing

--Snowmobiling

St. Croix County Snowmobile Association

200 miles of trails maintained by 13 subsidiary clubs with DNR funding.

--Skiing

Afton Alps Ski Area, Afton, Minn.

--Cross country skiing

Willow River State Park, located five miles northeast of Hudson.

Kinnickinnic State Park, located near River Falls on County F

Glen Hills County Park, located about 30 miles east of Hudson near Wilson.

Year-round activities

--St. Croix Valley YMCA

Offers a variety of sports, fitness and leisure activities in the area all year. This facility has a swimming pool, water slide, weight and strength training equipment, indoor running track, open gym and courts for racquetball, basketball and volleyball. --Hot air ballooning

Hudson Rod, Gun and Archery Club is located just outside of North Hudson.

--Indoor archery practice is an option to consider at A-1 Archery on Webster St.

--Hudson Bowling Center at Plaza 94

--Adult dart leagues are a popular activity in Hudson's bars. To join or form a team, call (715) 386-5491 -- Twin States Music, 1811 O'Keefe Road.

--Indoor and outdoor volleyball leagues are available through various taverns, YMCA, churches and Hudson School District Community Services.
