St. Croix Therapy receives $253,000
Richard Sterbenz (dba as Sterbenz/Ryan), center, presented St. Croix Therapy a check for $253,000. With Sterbenz, and representing St. Croix Therapy are Executive Director Dianne Joachim, left, and Clinical Team Leader DeDe Wanzek. Joachim said the funds "exemplify the generous and charitable spirit of Richard Sterbenz and the late Marty Ryan."
In 2010, Sterbenz/Ryan teamed up with St. Croix Therapy (formerly known as Special Children's Center) to construct a 13,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility including a warm water therapy pool and spa.
St. Croix Therapy, a 501(c)(3) organization, offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy for children and adults of all ages and abilities.
A portion of the funds will be used to install a second pool lift, purchase iPads and additional adult therapy equipment. The funds will also be used to offer scholarships for the social and sensory exploration groups to be held this summer.
