State corn crop doing fine
All things considered, officials say Wisconsin's corn crop is looking good.
It's an average of 69 inches tall, and almost a third is tasseled.
Just more than half the corn is rated good, and 19 percent is excellent.
The crop is still behind where it should be but in the wake of the June floods, observers say they're happy.
More than three-fourths of the Wisconsin soybean crop is rated good or excellent, but some farmers say it could use rain.
