State hockey finals to be broadcast on Comcast

Comcast cable TV viewers will be able to watch the WIAA Boys and Girls State Hockey Tournament championship games live Saturday from the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

The girls' championship game will be aired Saturday at noon with the boys' game at 2:30 p.m. Comcast is televising both games in association with WQOW-TV in Eau Claire.

Comcast subscribers in River Falls, Hudson, North Hudson and Troy Township can see the games on channel 6, while Prescott subscribers can tune to channel 16.

Eau Claire Memorial, Brookfield East, Wausau West, Marquette University School, Superior, Green Bay Notre Dame, Sparta and Verona Area are competing for the boys' state title while Hayward/Spooner, D.C. Everest, Onalaska and Kettle Moraine are battling for the girls' championship.

The WIAA State Hockey Championships are being held today (Thursday) through Saturday at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
