Steve Loescher, 61, of Hudson passed away Monday, Oct. 6, at his home with his family by his side.
Stephen Brent Loescher was born in Freeport, Ill., on Feb. 7, 1947, to Helen Ruth (Finley) and Carl Dietrich Loescher.
He spent his childhood in Freeport, graduating from Freeport High School in 1965.
He attended Highland Community College in Freeport before and after spending six years with the United States Air Force in South Dakota.
Steve lived in several cities, including Milwaukee, Spearfish, S.D., and Vale, Colo., before coming to St. Paul, where he worked as project manager at Master Mechanical Inc. of Eagan, Minn.
Steve enjoyed reading, boating, fishing, river towns, theater, architecture, spending time at home working on projects, and being with his family.
So very grateful for having shared Steve's life are his wife, Cindy; his son, Brent, of Redondo Beach, Calif.; Cindy's children, Ryan Larson of Sioux Falls, Kyle Larson (Holly Munoz) of St. Paul and Cara Van Houten (Brad) of Hammond; his precious grandchildren, Madison, Nevada, Jazmyn, Dylan, Annika, Ava, Austin and Aidan; two brothers, David Loescher of Freeport, Ill., and Dan Loescher (Amy) of Rockford, Ill.; his mother-in-law, Helen Munson; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
A funeral service for Stephen is at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 920 Third St., Hudson. Visitation is one hour prior.
Interment will follow in Willow River Cemetery.
