Stress relief and more offered at At Peace Therapeutic Massage
At Peace Therapeutic Massage might help you regain balance in your life. Jennifer Nordin is a licensed massage therapist, a clinical aroma therapy practitioner and is craniosacral therapy certified. With this skill and knowledge set, Nordin has a lot to offer her clients.
The native of southern Minnesota came to Hudson with her mother and sister. The trio started a cleaning service.
After she was in a car accident Nordin discovered how much massage therapy helped her. In 1999 she began taking classes at night at the St. Croix Center for Healing Arts determined to pursue massage therapy.
"I was always interested in natural healing," said Nordin. "Growing up we collected herbs out in the meadow and looked up how to use them."
In addition to becoming a licensed massage therapist, Nordin has taken countless hours of additional training in craniosacral and myofascial techniques, the use of therapeutic essential oils and aroma therapy.
She offers a variety of "Wellness Investments." They include massage therapy, private aromatherapy consultations, Raindrop Technique and others.
Today, she has an inviting suite of two rooms on the lower level of the Hudson Professional Building. The relaxing begins almost the moment you walk in the door.
"My clients love it," said Nordin. "I wanted it to be more than just a place to go. I wanted it to be a place to relax but I wanted to keep it small."
One of the rooms serves as an area where she can hold open houses and educational workshops.
Last month she started holding monthly benefits for local groups. Coming up on Tuesday, March 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Bridge for Youth and Adults with disabilities will be the featured group.
All of the proceeds collected from donations and sale of products will go to Bridge. Chair massages, Young Living Essential Oils, Wildtree Natural Food tasting, Ningxia Red Juice Bar shots and a door prize drawing are all a part of the afternoon.
Nordin plans to do one of these community outreach open houses each month. She also offers Natural MEDS workshops to provide natural health education at your organization, church, business or event.
