The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has advanced to the NCAA Division 3 softball finals.
The Blugolds won the Eau Claire Regional Sunday with a 7-3 win over UW-Oshkosh.
Casey Leisgang broke a 3-3 tie with a three-run homer, extending a school record with her 27th career blast.
Mallory McKinney struck out five in seven innings to get the win. She's now 17-8 and needs only one more win to tie the Eau Claire record for career victories with 73.
The Blugolds are now 35-and-12 and are the first WIAC school to make the nationals since 2000.
The double-elimination tournament runs from Friday through next Tuesday in Salem Va.
UW-Eau Claire will find out who they'll play after the other regional finals wrap up Monday. UW-Oshkosh ends its season 36-11.
