The Hudson Raider boys' hockey team couldn't snap Superior's sectional championship string.

The Spartans scored the first five goals of the game Saturday in New Richmond on their way to their eighth straight sectional title with an 8-1 victory over Hudson. The Raiders reached the sectional final with a 3-2 win over River Falls Tuesday while the Spartans advanced with a 9-2 win over Menomonie.
