Suspect in Wisconsin death arrested in Cottage Grove, Minn.
A North Dakota man suspected of killing one and injuring another in Chippewa County was arrested in Cottage Grove, Minn., over the weekend after turning himself in to police.
William Andrew Ball, 21, of Minot, N.D., was taken into custody by Cottage Grove police shortly after 6:30 a.m. Saturday following an incident hours earlier in Boyd.
The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office said Ball is a suspect in a shooting that left Kyle B. Ryba, 24, dead, and Stephanie N. Ball, 18, injured. The woman was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital.
The sheriff's office said they suspect Ball was heading west on his way to Minot, N.D.
Ball is expected to be charged with first-degree homicide and first-degree attempted homicide. He is being held in the Washington County Jail awaiting extradition to Wisconsin.
