Swim registration this Saturday
Registration for the Hudson School District Summer Swim lessons will be at the Hudson Middle School gym on Saturday, April 27, from 8-11 a.m. Due to the growth of this program, only Hudson School District residents will be able to register on this Saturday. Those registering must provide proof of residence with a Hudson School District student report card or a valid driver's license with a Hudson address.
If there is room in any of the classes, non-residents will be able to register on May 8.
Complete schedule information will be published in the April 25 edition of the Hudson Star-Observer and also on the Hudson School District's website. Fees are $20 per student per two-week session for levels 1-6. The Waders 1, 2, and 3 levels are $30 per session. The Waders 3 class is for children ages 4-5 years old that have not completed kindergarten yet, but are ready to work on Level 1 skills. All classes are registered on a first-come, first serve basis and after a class is filled, it will be closed.
The following classes are offered in the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program: Waders 1, 2, and 3 - ages 3 - 5; Level I; Level II; Level III; Level IV; Level V; Level VI - four options; Open Swim Monday - Wednesday; and Water Aerobics - Thursday.
For those unable to sign up on April 27, registration will again be accepted on Wednesday, May 8, from 4-6 p.m. at the Hudson Middle School gym. This registration will be for Hudson and non-Hudson residents.
Registration will no longer be available at the district's Administrative Service Center. If you are unable to register on either of the dates above, registration will open at the middle school beginning in early June. More information about this will be posted on Hudson School's website and in the Hudson Star- Observer. Registrations or changes to schedules will not be accepted over the phone.
