Three bellringers commit to 30-hour marathon

Three individuals have stepped forward to carry on the tradition of St. Croix County's 30-hour bell ringing marathon.

Jeremy Lilyquist of Hudson, Derek Gilbert of Hudson and Linda Lewis of New Richmond will all be camping out Tuesday and Wednesday in an effort to collect maximum donations for the Salvation Army.

Lilyquist and Gilbert will be ringing at in Hudson at County Market starting at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, and continuing on Wednesday, Dec. 12, until 9 p.m. to complete their 30 hours. Lewis will be ringing at Walmart in New Richmond during the same period of time.

Funds will be collected through every site in St. Croix County from Hudson to Baldwin. Sites include:

Hudson: Walmart, Family Fresh, Fleet Farm, Green Mill, Papa Murphy's and Walgreens.

New Richmond: Family Fresh, Walmart and Super America.

Baldwin: Nilssen's Grocery.

Visit the bell ringing sites to show your support. Your donation to The Salvation Army in St. Croix County will stay in the community to support friends and neighbors.

Donations may be sent to The Salvation Army/ Grace Place Shelter, 203 Church Hill Rd. Somerset, WI 54025 or phone in your pledge at 715-247-2944.
