Three from UW-RF named to All-WIAC team, Freeman top coach
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls and UW-Superior have three players each on the All-WIAC men's hockey team.
The 12-member squad was announced Wednesday.
UW-River Falls, which won the conference title, had senior forwards T.J. Dahl and Pat Borgestad named to the all-league team, along with senior defenseman Jim Henkemeyer.
Steve Freeman of UW-River Falls is the league's coach of the year.
The UW-Superior players are junior goal-tender Chad Beiswenger, sophomore defenseman Brian Bina and junior forward Kevin Huck.
Also named were Thomas Speer and Brett Beckfeld of UW-Stevens Point, Greg Peterson and Sean Garrity of UW-Eau Claire, and Jack Wolgemuth and Joel Gaulrapp of UW-Stout.
Dustin Cosgrove of Superior is the sport's top scholar-athlete.
