My Sister's Garden, 538 Sixth St. N., staged a tomato event recently to assist the United Way's Food Resource Center, located in the town of Hudson.

In the photo, judges included, from left, Paul Rode of Agave Kitchen Restaurant, Starla Enger (co-owner of My Sister's Garden), William Goss of Agave Kitchen Restaurant, Alecia Enger (co-owner of My Sister's Garden) and Guy Usher, right.

Other winners in the event included Carolyn Barrette of Houlton (first place for her hot salsa), and sharing honors for the best sweet salsa were Frank Mooth and John Gaffer, both of Hudson. Todd Bol of Hudson won top honors for two categories - for best slicing tomato and best cherry tomato. John Gaffer, Hudson, won for ugliest tomato.
