Town of Hudson changes ordinances
The Town of Hudson held a special town meeting prior to the regularly scheduled board meeting Tuesday, May 4, to discuss a laundry list of changes to the town code of ordinances. After a brief meeting, the town ratified the changes during the town board meeting. The changes include, but are not limited to the following:
--82-3H, to remove "and" and Recycling will be billed to residents via the tax roll, and to add Failure to pay any valid bill sent by the Hauler within 60 days of the due date, or failure to pay any bill sent by the town within the due date stated in the bill, shall be a violation of this Chapter. In addition to all other penalties and enforcement actions available to the town, in order to recover town costs associated with collections of past due accounts, a fee of $50 will be levied against anyone who is more than 60 days delinquent on any valid bill sent by the hauler. The total past due, including any fees and fines, may be placed on the property tax bill as a special charge.
--5-6F, An impounded dog that is returned to its owner may be automatically licensed by the town as per Sections 5-4 and 5-5 of this chapter. License fees shall be billed to the owner, and if the owner does not pay the fees within 14 days, it shall be a violation of this chapter and subject to all enforcement and collection methods of this chapter.
--5-18B, Each day that a violation shall continue will constitute a separate offense.
--32-6B, Unless otherwise specified in a specific Chapter, each day that a violation shall continue will constitute a separate offense.
