TOWN OF HUDSON: Request For Proposals - 2014-15 Lawn Maintenance

TOWN OF HUDSON
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Town of Hudson will be accepting proposals for lawn maintenance at the Hudson Town Hall and Park, including the three ball fields, located at 980 County Road A and the Cedar Hills Park Trails. This is for the 2014 and 2015 mowing seasons. Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00pm on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Town Hall. Action will be taken at the Town Board Meeting on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Mowing frequency should be based on the growth rate of the grass, usually once per week (unless dry conditions prevail when mowing is not necessary). The grass height should be maintained at three (3) inches from April-September 1st (or the end of the baseball season). From September 1st-November 1st (or the end of the growing season) the grass height should be maintained at five (5) inches. The final mowing of the season should be two and one-half (2 ½) inches.
Included in the proposal should be:
• Lawn maintenance of 7.5 acres approximately once
per week.
• When grass clippings are long, they will be removed.
• Trimming around the buildings, trees, walks, playground,
fences, etc. (Round Up may be used)
• Ditches are to be mowed each week.

along County Road A to the lot line, and west along McCutcheon Road to the lot line.
• Mowing trails and around parking lot at Cedar Hills Park
on County Rd UU.
Optional items should be indicated as extra cost:
- Fertilizer cost per application
- Dethatching cost per application
- Aeration cost per application
- Cost to apply grass killer under fences
Proposal must include:
- Certificate of insurance
- Explanation of experience or references
The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
