Trinity Academy joins forces with GSCA
Trinity Academy in Hudson and Good Shepherd Christian Academy in River Falls are teaming up for the 2009-10 school year to assist one another -- building on each organization's strengths.
"This joint venture has arisen out of a common desire to continue to improve Christian educational opportunities for families in the St. Croix River Valley," said Alison Johnson, principal at Trinity Academy.
Trinity Academy, currently a K-5 school, will be expanding its educational program to grades 6-8, absorbing approximately 70 percent of GSCA's K-8 students.
Good Shepherd Christian Academy, a K-12 school, will close its K-8 program and exclusively serve grades as a 9-12 high school beginning this fall.
GSCA will relocate to the Hudson area close to the Trinity Academy campus at a yet-to-be-named site.
Good Shepherd High School will continue to offer what it calls a rigorous academic core to its students with a low student-teacher ratio.
Trinity Academy, along with weekly chapel services, continues to offer music, art, physical education and Spanish in grades pre K-8. Other educational offerings include band, orchestra, private music lessons, choir, Bible curriculum and after-school sports programs.
