Two arrested for OWI after early morning crash
Both drivers were arrested for drunken driving following a two-vehicle crash on I-94 early Thursday morning, Dec. 9.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the right lane of westbound I-94 near Woodville was blocked for about an hour shortly after 2 a.m.
One driver, Michael D. Martin, was arrested by the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department for operating while intoxicated. The other driver, Ryan J. Stetler, was arrested on the same charge by the State Patrol. No information on either the age or the address of either driver was immediately available.
Martin was taken to the Baldwin Hospital for a blood test. According to the State Patrol, Martin was ejected from his vehicle and was injured but was talking and coherent when officers arrived.
The accident, which occurred near Milepost 27, was reported to the St. Croix County emergency communications center at 2:12 a.m.
The State Patrol announced that the accident scene was cleared at 3:32 a.m.
