Two children die in Wausau fire
Two young children have died in a late night duplex fire in Wausau.
Authorities said the victims were 2- and 8-years-old, and a 9-year-old boy was in critical condition at last word at a hospital in Marshfield.
Media reports said a woman and three other kids escaped unharmed.
Wausau firefighters said the two-story building was fully involved in the blaze by the time they arrived.
They were called just before 10:45 p.m. Tuesday. It took about two hours to put the fire under control.
The state fire marshal's office will help local authorities find out how and why it started.
