An autopsy conducted on a 35-year-old River Falls woman found dead early Tuesday at the Aurora Residence, 230 County Road SS near the Sterling Ponds subdivision, offered no indication as to what claimed her life, St. Croix County Sheriff Dennis Hillstead said Wednesday.

Cally Jo Miller, 1105 S. Bartosh Lane, was found unresponsive in a bed early Tuesday by a coworker at the group home.

Miller had arrived at midnight to work her overnight shift, and one employee was apparently permitted to sleep while another oversees the eight mentally disabled residents, Hillstead said.

Around 6 a.m. a male coworker noticed Miller had not stirred from her bed. When he tried wake her, he found she was not breathing and was without a pulse.

River Falls Ambulance responded but EMTs were unable to resuscitate Miller. She was later pronounced dead by a deputy St. Croix County medical examiner.

There was no indication of foul play, the sheriff said.

Hillstead said his department has only received preliminary results of the autopsy and the toxicology data will take several weeks to complete.

Once that information is received, the sheriff's department may continue its investigation or the case will be turned back to Medical Examiner Casey Swetlik.

Services for Miller are planned at 11 a.m. Friday at United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm with burial at Sunset Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m., Thursday at Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas, and an hour prior to services at the church.
