UW-RF women's hoops debuts 'Backcourt Club'
UW-River Falls women's basketball coach Cindy Holbrook has announced the formation of the "Backcourt Club," a new booster club to support the Falcon women's team.
Holbrook said the club is designed to create value for Falcon fans while creating a new fundraising method for the program.
"As we were planning for this new season, we wanted to create a club for our fans to connect more with our program and players," Holbrook said. "Our players recognize the faces of our fans at our games; now they get a chance to know them personally at our socials and thank them for their support, as well as welcome them to our program."
The Backcourt Club has several different levels of membership, starting at $15 for high school and younger age members. Members will assist the Falcons women's basketball program by funding special team travel, aiding in recruitment, purchasing new athletic equipment and uniforms, sponsoring team events and game day events, and providing for the team banquet.
Membership benefits include free t-shirts, long-sleeve t-shirts and sweatshirts, and the opportunity to be a game day ball kid and tour the team's locker room. Invitations to pre and post game socials with players and coaches are also included, as are tickets or season passes to all home games.
