AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE FOR THE VILLAGE OF NORTH HUDSON, WISCONSIN
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of North Hudson wishes to amend Chapter 74, Parks and Recreation, Sec. 74-1, Park and Beach Hours, of the Village of North Hudson Municipal Code; and,
WHEREAS, the Park Board of the Village of North Hudson has recommended to the Village Board that that portion of Galahad Road North within Ferry Landing Park be open for ordinary and typical village street type travel, but that the Park itself (other than through traffic on the road) including the beach area at the end of Galahad Road North, should follow the normal hours of operation of the rest of the park and loitering after hours should be prohibited;
NOW THEREFORE, the Board of Trustees of the Village of North Hudson does ordain as follows: (Deleted language is struck through, created language is underlined).
Sec. 74-1. Park and beach hours.
(a) No person shall be in or on any public park or beach from 9:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., except as otherwise provided in this section.
(b) The board may grant permission with such conditions and requirements as it deems reasonably necessary to individuals or groups to use specified parks or beaches for civic or recreational purposes on one or more specified days between specified hours, which may include part or all of the hours such parks or beaches are closed under subsection (a) of this section.
(c) Nothing in this section shall prohibit the presence in or on any public park or beach of officials and employees of the village, school district, public utilities and authorized police, fire and emergency services where required for proper performance of their official duties.
(d) That portion of Galahad Road North within Ferry Landing Park and north of a point 538 feet north of the centerline of Sommers St. (subject to Sec. 82-9 Pedestrian Malls) is open for through traffic during and outside of normal park hours. Through traffic means use of the road by vehicles and pedestrians as is typical and customary for travel on a village street, including picking up and dropping off of people and equipment. It does not include parking vehicles or loitering after hours on said portion of the road. Other than the use of the road for through traffic purposes, normal park hours, parking regulations, and all other park and Village regulations remain in force.
