Watch Falcons for free next week
The nationally-ranked UW-River Falls men's basketball team will host Macalester College on Wednesday, Dec. 29 and the University of Sioux Falls on Thursday, Dec. 30 at the Karges Center and fans can see one, or both, games for free with a special promotion.
Anyone who buys a ticket for Wednesday's game against Macalester can bring the ticket stub to Thursday's game against Sioux Falls and be admitted free of charge. Cost for an adult ticket is $7. A ticket for those ages 5-18, and over age 60, is $4.
There is also a special for junior and senior high school student who attend schools in Pierce and St. Croix counties. Anyone wearing their school sweatshirt or T-shirt will be admitted free to both games.
The Falcons, under head coach Jeff Berkhof, moved up one spot to No. 16 in this week's D3hoops.com national poll. They currently sport a record of 9-2 overall and are 4-0 and in first place in the WIAC.
Former Altoona High School star Shane Manor leads a deep Falcon lineup in scoring with an average of 14.5 points per game while River Falls' native Jake Voeltz is averaging 12.5 points and a team-high 6.5 rebounds per contest.
