The dugouts remained vacant and snow covered at the baseball field at Grandview Park last Friday, April 12, as the Raider baseball team waits to play its first game of the season. The Raiders have had eight games either cancelled or postponed by the weather so far this year.

In a perfect world, the Raider baseball team would have eight games under its belt by this point of the season, Hudson's girls' soccer would be seven games into its schedule, and the boys' golf team would have played two 18-hole invitationals and two nine-hole conference mini-meets by now.

But as anyone itching to put on a pair of shorts and sandals knows, this spring has been far from perfect.
