Wurm qualified for her second straight trip to the state tournament by shooting an 81 at the Eau Claire North Sectional Oct. 7 at Mill Run. She finished tied for 25th place as a freshman in 2008.

This year's tournament was delayed three hours both days due to cold weather and utilized a shotgun start. It is the first time in the history of the girls' state golf tournament a shotgun start was used.
