This year the collection efforts expanded beyond the Hudson area and included a dress drive that was held at Westconsin Credit Union branches throughout western Wisconsin, organized by Lori Rayome of the Hudson branch. Students at the UW-River Falls reached out through social networking and collected dresses from friends and family members in their hometowns, and LaRue Marche offered a special promotion for individuals who donated to the cause. Enchanted Moments of Glenwood City also donated gowns to the cause.

All Dressed Up was started in 2009 by a Hudson High School graduate who wanted to ensure that financial constraints did not prohibit teens from attending their high school proms. All Dressed Up's initiative was to make prom more affordable for teens and families in western Wisconsin, specifically reaching out to families that are financially strained. The idea has grown into an annual campaign that provides dresses, accessories and services to young women who want to attend their high school prom.

After collecting the dresses, they are cleaned and ready to wear. Styles include both long and short dresses with shoes, handbags and accessories also available. In recent years, they have also collected apparel for men, including suits, tuxedos and dress shoes. The annual open house is free and open to all young people and their families.

This year's event will offer hundreds of beautiful dresses and accessories in a wide variety of styles, colors and sizes.

Donations are still being accepted at Youth Action Hudson. More information is available at www.youthactionhudson.org or by calling (715)386-9803.
