Zachary Wiegand makes initial appearance
A man charged with a 2003 armored car robbery in Hudson made an initial appearance in St. Croix County Circuit Court Tuesday on five felony charges related to the case.
Zachary Ryan Wiegand, 32, was transferred from a prison in St. Cloud, Minn., where he is serving a 12-year felony sentence to appear before Judge Edward F. Vlack.
The court set hearing dates for Monday and Wednesday. Wiegand is charged with two counts of armed robbery, and one count each of receiving stolen property, arson and driving a car without consent.
The charges followed a May 29, 2003 hold-up of an American Security armored car in the parking lot of Citizens State Bank on Crestview Dr.
Wiegand's wife, Debra Ann Wiegand, 29, Hudson, was bound over for trial at a July 17 preliminary hearing on felony charges related to the same incident.
