It was a couple of years back at a New Year’s Eve party that Chris Babbitt and Rick Fields started talking about mounting a production of “Tuck Everlasting” at The Phipps Center.

Theater camps set for summer

The Phipps Center for the Arts is offering summer Drama Camp for students entering grades 3-4, Acting Ensemble for grades 5-6 and Musical Theater Camp for grades 7-10. Each group will perform for family and friends the last day of class. Enrollment is limited.

Regional artists featured in Phipps Galleries

Encore Wind Ensemble performs

The Encore Wind Ensemble, a 45-member band under the direction of Jerry Luckhardt, will perform “American Masters” at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at The Phipps Center for the Arts.

Jazz band returns twice

The Upper Mississippi Jazz Band will return to The Phipps Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. Sundays, May 18 and June 1.

Artists, crafters needed for fair at state park

Orchestra concert is Monday
