Carl Corey will discuss his portfolio,  "For Love and Money: A Portrait of the Family Business 2011,"   from 3-4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, at the Kinnickinnic River Theater, 410 South Third  St., on the UW-River Falls campus.

This series documents Wisconsin businesses that have been family-owned for generations.

Corey’s closely observed, iconic photographs offer familiar subjects with an aim at capturing “real people in real situations.”

The lecture is cosponsored by the  UW-River Falls  Art Department and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.

Corey's work will also be included in the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art's 2013 Wisconsin Triennial, opening week, beginning Sept. 20.

This is a selective exhibition and widely regarded as the state’s most prestigious showcase of contemporary Wisconsin visual art.

Over 500 artists were considered -- 140 received studio visits and, ultimately, only 40 artists and collaborative teams were selected.
