Inkjet art options

Amazing Inkjet Options in Art, a two-day workshop on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6 and 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be offered at The Phipps Center for the Arts. In this workshop, participants will work with unusual surfaces run through an inkjet printer and explore ideas for incorporating these printed images into collages and mixed media artwork. Instructor is Bonnie Cutts. The class fee is $168, which includes all materials. Family activity

Family members of all ages are invited to a free Family Day Activity from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at The Phipps Center for the Arts. Using recycled and waste materials and inspired by the theme "The Roaring 20's," participants will create lion costumes to wear in the quirky 20th anniversary Hot Air Affair parade on Friday, Feb. 6, beginning at 7:15 p.m. in downtown Hudson.

Old Gem offerings

The Old Gem Theater in New Richmond is staging "Three Billy Goats Gruff" at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, at the theater, 116 S. Knowles Ave. Tickets are $11 for adults and $9 for children and seniors. Acting classes begin Feb. 2 and include "Wizard of Oz" musical theater, "Broadway Melodies" and "In Search of Anne Frank: Children of the Holocaust," all for ages 8 and up, and "Imagination Station" for 5- to 7-year-olds.
