'Junie B. Jones' final performances this weekend
The Phipps will host the final performances of "Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook" this weekend, Friday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.
In this play by Allison Gregory, adapted from the popular book series by Barbara Park, audiences of all ages will find out how Junie B., the funniest girl in Room Nine, perseveres through her kindergarten conundrums and learns that honesty is the best policy.
Lindsay Redman, who staged "Mother Goosed" for The Phipps, directs a cast of adults and talented area students in grades 7 — 9: Evy Johnson as Junie B. Jones, Adaire MacSwain as Lucille, Jenni Derrick as Mother/Grouchy Typing Lady, Dane Olson as Jim/Mitten Crook, Henry Nemitz as Handsome Warren, and Faith Kalsow as Pink Fluffy Girl, all of Hudson; Erika Bartkey as Grace and Darcy McDowell as Mrs., both of Stillwater; Nate Brown as Principal/Grandpa Frank/Lucille's Grandpa and Michael Kerr as Ricardo, both of River Falls.
