Uganda drummer featured at Gallery 120's April opening
Gallery 120, located at 120 N. Main St., will be showcasing the following artists for the month of April: Debra Bystrom Lucero, oils and watercolors; Richard Lucero, wind chimes; Larry Tronrud, jewelry; and Okello Kelo Sam, Ugandan drum maker.
Gallery 120, located at 120 N. Main St., will be showcasing the following artists for the month of April: Debra Bystrom Lucero, oils and watercolors; Richard Lucero, wind chimes; Larry Tronrud, jewelry; and Okello Kelo Sam, Ugandan drum maker.
A gallery opening will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 13, with drum and dance performances by Okello Kelo Sam from 4:30-6 p.m. He has appeared in the movie “The Last King of Scotland,” as well as a Dutch film called “The Silent Army.”
Donations for Hope North Uganda will be accepted. Hope North is a 40-acre campus in northern Uganda where refugees, orphans and former child soldiers find a place to call home. For more information call Ila June Brown-Pratt, 715-821-9411.
