The Plexus Corporation said today it would build a $50 million-dollar manufacturing plant in Neenah.
The company makes various products on a contracted basis, and its new plant will replace two facilities the company now leases. The building is expected to be ready in the fall of 2013, and about 1,000 employees will be consolidated into the new structure.
Governor Scott Walker says the project could create up to 350 additional jobs. The state is offering $15 million in enterprise zone tax credits. They’ll be handed out over the next seven years, depending on the company’s performance and job-creation record.
Plexus employs around nine-thousand people throughout the world – including 1,700 engineers and technical staffers. Plexus is a large Fox Valley employer, even though its biggest plants are overseas.
