On the Job: Ruth Girón

Ruth Girón, of Prescott, a former Hudson resident who served as director of human resources for Nuclear Management Co. for five years, was among 39 individuals who recently graduated from the Leadership New Mexico Core Program, a curriculum aimed at helping individuals hone leadership skills while deepening their knowledge of challenges and opportunities facing the state.

Ruth Girón, of Prescott, a former Hudson resident who served as director of human resources for Nuclear Management Co. for five years, was among 39 individuals who recently graduated from the Leadership New Mexico Core Program, a curriculum aimed at helping individuals hone leadership skills while deepening their knowledge of challenges and opportunities facing the state.

Girón, who is married to Hudson native Richard Ruemmele, is employed as Vice President of Talent and Community Engagement at Urenco USA, and divides her work time between Wisconsin and New Mexico. Girón is originally from St. Paul.

Leadership New Mexico graduates attended six educational sessions for the 2011-2012 program. The program sessions were held in various locations within New Mexico that represent and create exposure to these communities. Each session featured speakers and panelists who are knowledgeable leaders in their specific field.

Since Leadership New Mexico’s inception, nearly 1,000 participants from 74 communities across the state have explored the issues facing our state through participation in Leadership New Mexico programs.
