The suit filed in Dane County Circuit Court concerns the question of whether Gov. Doyle had the right to sign a contract with the tribe that would never end.
The Ho Chunk says a 2004 court ruling disallowing a perpetual contract with another tribe should cancel its contract as well.
A federal lawsuit about the contract with no ending date is pending right now.
