What Brett Favre started, Donald Driver will continue.

We’re talking about the Packers’ annual charity softball game at Fox Cities’ Stadium near Appleton, where the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers play.

Driver said today the annual event will be held Sunday, June 15.

It has raised a couple million dollars over the years for Favre’s foundation which benefits children. When Favre retired, he and his wife Deanna said they would not hold any charity events in Wisconsin this year, but they might do so in the future.

Now, the Packer softball game will benefit Driver’s foundation, which helps families throughout Wisconsin and in Driver’s home town of Houston.

He said the charity game is a fun tradition and he’s glad to keep it going.

Tickets go on sale May 1 and more information is available from the Timber Rattlers.
