A man wanted for a 1993 murder in Green Bay has been arrested in Mississippi and brought back to Wisconsin.
Authorities said Jesus Bautista, 35, used at least 17 aliases and nine Social Security numbers while on the lam.
But in the end, his fingerprints exposed his true identity.
Bautista and another man are charged in the stabbing death of Leonardo Abarca-Guerrero at his home in Green Bay in August of 1993.
The other suspect is still at large.
Bautista and two other men were stopped on June 24, after their car almost hit a sheriff’s squad car in Starkville Miss.
They were turned over to immigration authorities, who discovered that Bautista was wanted by the FBI.
He has criminal records in Illinois, Michigan, Oregon and California.
Authorities said he got new tattoos to cover up old ones and he used a goatee and a mustache to try and create a fresh new identity.
