A 51-year-old Sawyer County man died from exposure Tuesday after he wandered away from his rural Hayward home while sleepwalking, according to the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department.

A 51-year-old Sawyer County man died from exposure Tuesday after he wandered away from his rural Hayward home while sleepwalking, according to the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department.
His son found the body almost 200 yards from the house. Officials said he had very few clothes on, at a time when it was 16 below zero.
According to the National Weather Service, flesh can freeze in 10 minutes when the wind-chills hit minus-40.
