The Wisconsin Board of Veterans Affairs is looking for nominations from northwestern Wisconsin for its Veteran Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award will be presented at the board’s Eau Claire meeting on April 17 at the Ramada Inn and Convention Center in downtown Eau Claire.
The award recognizes Wisconsin veterans who have a record of exemplary service in the military, as a veteran and as a citizen, according to the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs.
For the award the veteran must reside in one of the following counties: Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Iron, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Price, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau and Washburn.
The board will select recipients from nominations sent in by family members, individuals, county veterans service officers, fellow veterans and veterans service and other organizations.
Nominations must be received by March 15.
