The Green Bay Packers open their training camp today without their top draft choice.

Defensive lineman B.J. Raji was the ninth overall pick in the April draft and he undoubtedly is waiting to see what others in the Top 10 are about to get.

As of Thursday, six of those 10 had not agreed to new contracts.

Green Bay’s other first-round draft choice, outside linebacker Clay Matthews, signed a five-year contract Thursday.

It’s reported to be worth at least $10 million, with sweeteners that could bring it up to $13.25 million.

That leaves Raji as the only one of the Packers’ eight draft picks without a contract.

And there’s plenty of time for him to reach a deal before the first practice at 2 p.m. Saturday.
