James Lutiger of Hudson, a financial adviser with RBC Dain Rauscher in Minneapolis, has been named to the board of directors of the St. Croix Valley Community Foundation.
Lutiger has been active in the Twin Cities and Hudson, serving on the board of the St. Croix Valley YMCA for 10 years and ending his term as board chair. He currently sits on the Greater St. Paul YMCA Association Endowment and Foundation Board. He is past president of the Hudson Daybreak Rotary and currently a member of the Hudson Rotary Finance Committee. Also, he is treasurer of The Phipps Center for the Arts and chair of the Phipps Finance Committee.
Originally from Chicago, he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin. He and his wife, Sheila, have two daughters, Sarah and Catie.
“We are very fortunate, indeed, to have a person of Jim’s personal and professional caliber serving on our board,” said Jane Hetland Stevenson, foundation president. “He brings a depth of financial knowledge to an already strong board. We all are really looking forward to working with him.”
The St. Croix Valley Community Foundation was established in 1995 by a group of valley residents to provide an effective means for people who care about this region to contribute to and be part of shaping its future. As of December 2007, the foundation had assets of approximately $15 million and is active in grant making in five counties that border the lower St. Croix River — three in Wisconsin and two in Minnesota.
