UW-Stout gets invite to NCAA Div. 3 hockey tournament
St. Norbert and the University of Wisconsin-Stout were among 10 teams invited Sunday night to the NCAA Division 3 men’s hockey tournament.
St. Norbert and the University of Wisconsin-Stout were among 10 teams invited Sunday night to the NCAA Division 3 men’s hockey tournament.
The top-ranked Green Knights beat Stout 4-3 in overtime on Saturday night in the finals of the NCHA tourney and they could have a rematch in the national quarter-finals next Saturday.
St. Norbert has a first-round bye and will play either UW-Stout or Saint Thomas of St. Paul in the Elite-Eight round. Those last two teams will square off on Wednesday at St. Thomas.
UW-Stout is 18-8-3 overall. The Tommies are 19-6-2 and Saint Norbert is 24-1-4.
