Hudson Hospital hires Kari Rambo

Kari Rambo has been hired as the new Director of Development at Hudson Hospital. Rambo will fill the position being vacated by the retiring John Marnell.

Kari Rambo has been hired as the new Director of Development at Hudson Hospital. Rambo will fill the position being vacated by the retiring John Marnell.

As director of development, Rambo's primary responsibility will be fund raising. In that role, she will be working closely with the Hudson hospital Health Foundation Board, the funding raising organization for the hospital.

"I'm overwhelmed with the support of the community for the hospital and all local organizations," Rambo said. "We hope to focus on that passion to have better health care for our community."

She said she plans to get involved in the community in the weeks and months ahead.

Rambo, 38, and her husband Charlie have two daughter, Samantha, 9, and Courtney, 7. They currently live in Mahtomedi, Minn.

Before joining the hospital staff, she a fundraiser for St. Paul College as executive director of the school's foundation since 1994.

She grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Cretin-Durham Hall High School. She has a journalism degree from the University of St. Thomas and earned her master's degree at St. Mary's in Winona, Minn.
