Trinity Academy’s annual fund-raising gala was March 1 and was considered successful, mostly because of the hard work of co-chairs Kris Dougherty and Carla Hamill. Over $30,000 was raised during the evening.

Now in its seventh year, the communitywide celebration was held at the Hudson Golf Club. A live auction included many items, including an airplane ride, Packer tickets, weeklong stays at various cabins and resorts, a pontoon ride and lunch on Lake Mallalieu, gourmet dinners, an autographed Packers football and a tea party with kindergarten teacher Jenny Cicha and principal Alison Johnson.

In addition, a silent auction was held, where over 130 items were donated by some 70 area businesses and Trinity members. The funds raised at the event helps Trinity provide affordable Christian education to over 400 children from the St. Croix Valley in their childcare, preschool and elementary school programs.

Trinity Academy, which is accredited by the Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation Association, is a Christian school in the Lutheran tradition and strives to integrate those values into all that is taught. In addition to traditional academic classes, Spanish is taught to all grades and private piano lessons are also an option. For information about Trinity, or to visit the school, call Principal Alison Johnson, (715) 386-9349.
