For the third year, works by Hudson High School students are on display in the show “Reader’s Art 8” at the Susan Hensel Gallery in South Minneapolis.

This year artists were asked to submit books and book objects that feature handmade paper and “the work of the hand.”

HHS sophomore English students created visual and textual journals, and seniors in a creative writing class made hand-bound books.

The show opens Friday, March 14, with a reception from 5-9 p.m. The gallery is located at 3441 Cedar Ave. S., south of Lake Street, near the intersection of 34th Street and Cedar Avenue.

Visitors are welcome to return, but hours vary and visitors should call (612) 722-2324.

HHS English teacher Laura J. Gajdostik has been involved in the project.
