Beginning band signup is Monday

Beginning band registration for all current fifth-graders is Monday, April 7, from 4-8:30 p.m. at Hudson Middle School (use north doors). A parent must accompany each child to the event. Students will receive a 15-minute individual conference with a certified music teacher.

Parents signed their child up for this individual conference time at the conclusion of the informational meeting March 31. Anyone who missed the meeting may still schedule a student’s individual conference time for April 7 by calling one of the middle school directors (715-377-3820) by 4 p.m. Friday, April 4.

Middle school band directors Carl Meincke and Connie Root visited the elementary schools the week of March 10-14. They discussed the middle school band program and administered a brief musical aptitude test to all fifth-graders.

Parents of all fifth-grade students received a “band packet” of information in the mail from the middle school band directors around March 15. A brief informational meeting concerning the beginning band program took place Monday, March 31.
