Jeanette A. (Jungbauer) Slaughter, 72, of Forest Lake, Minn., a former Hudson resident, died Wednesday, March 19, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Preceding her in death was her daughter, Julie.
She was the daughter of Henry and Gladys Jungbauer.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, John E. Slaughter; four children, Cathy Murphy of Woodbury, Minn., Steven (Sheryl) Slaughter of North Branch, Minn., Mary (Jerry) Dick of Mahtomedi, Minn., and Susan Wegscheider of White Bear Lake, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret “Peg” (Jim) Reed of Danbury.
The couple lived in Forest Lake for 15 years after leaving Hudson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, Minn.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Mattson Funeral Home, in Forest Lake, Minn., and one half hour prior to Mass at the church.
Private family burial was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
