Register April 26 for Summer Swim Program
Registration for the Hudson School District’s American Red Cross Learn to Swim program, lifeguard training and water safety instructor training is Saturday, April 26, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the cafeteria at Hudson Middle School, 1300 Carmichael Road.

This year’s sessions are:
Swimming lessons are open to children who have completed kindergarten and are currently enrolled within the Hudson School District. Fees are $20 per student, per two-week session. All classes are registered on a first-come, first-serve basis, and after a class is filled, it will be closed.
There is also a Waders class for children ages 3–5 who have not yet entered kindergarten. A parent must accompany the child in the water for this class, which cost $30 per student, per session.
Swim Testing will be available Friday, April 25, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 26, from 6-8 a.m. at the middle school pool.
The Lifeguard training is June 9–20 from 2 to 5 p.m. for $75. To be eligible for lifeguard training, a student must be at least 15 years old and able to pass a pre-test by the first class meeting.
Water Safety Instructor training is June 23–July 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. for $125. To be eligible for water safety training, a student must be at least 16 years old by the date of the first class and be able to swim 500 yards continually using the front crawl. Fee includes books and materials.
For those unable to sign up on April 26, registrations will be accepted beginning Monday, May 12, at the Learning Services Office, 644 Brakke Drive, between 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday–Friday.
Non-residents will be able to register on Monday, May 12.
